TMJ & Jaw Pain Treatment

in Victoria BC

Jaw pain is rarely just about your jaw.

Sometimes the body doesn’t need more pressure. It needs the opportunity to settle.

Do you wake with jaw pain or headaches? Notice clicking, popping, or locking when you chew or yawn? Find yourself clenching your teeth during the day or waking with a sore jaw?
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders are often more complex than they appear. While symptoms are felt in the jaw, the underlying contributors may involve the muscles of the face, neck, head, shoulders, tongue, and surrounding connective tissues. Breathing patterns, posture, stress, previous injuries, and everyday habits can all influence how your jaw moves and functions.

Understanding the Whole Picture

At ViVi, we look beyond the joint itself.

Your temporomandibular joint doesn’t work in isolation. It relies on the muscles, fascia, and joints around it to move comfortably and efficiently. Restrictions or tension in one area can influence another, creating patterns that contribute to pain, stiffness, headaches, clicking, or limited movement.

Our assessment looks at how your jaw functions as part of your whole body, helping us identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.
