Ian’s journey into massage therapy began after 20 years of working with marginalized individuals facing significant health challenges, including 10 years at Island Health. His passion for helping others grew from his own experiences with massage therapy, particularly in injury rehabilitation, sports performance, pain relief, and mental health enhancement. Inspired by these benefits, he chose to pursue a career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Outside of his professional life, Ian is a lifelong cyclist and enjoys mountain biking, hiking on Vancouver Island's trails, snowboarding, gardening, and spending time with his two grown daughters, his partner, and her teenage daughter.>
He works with a diverse range of clients, from seniors to competitive athletes, weekend warriors, and busy professionals. His areas of expertise include injury rehabilitation, pain management, and sports performance. With a deep understanding of the body’s mechanics, Ian is dedicated to creating personalized strategies that help clients regain control over their health.>
Ian’s treatment approach centers on listening closely to each client’s needs and understanding their unique experiences. By observing the body’s responses to treatment, he works to uncover the root causes of discomfort. Using a range of techniques, he helps alleviate pain and tension while focusing on improving movement patterns and long-term recovery. Ian’s goal is not only to relieve symptoms but also to equip clients with tools and strategies to maintain their health beyond the treatment room.>
