No, Registered Massage Therapists are primary health care and can assess and treat you without a medical referral. However, in some circumstances a referral from your physician may be necessary in order for you to be reimbursed by your extended health care plan or WCB, ICBC, or DND. Please check your insurance policy, your insurance agent or claim adjuster to be sure.

There are lots of 2-hour parking spots around us and if you need to park for longer, Granite Street is a good option. It is no more than a two minute walk away. Please do not use the parking lot behind Oak Bay Cycles.

Everyone’s needs are different. It depends on your state of health, how much stress is in your life, and how physically active you are. Many of our clients receive therapy weekly or bi-weekly. The best thing to do is to ask your therapist.

Rehabilitation from surgery, injury or illness increased work demands could be reasons why one would seek therapy more often. Pregnancy or training for athletic performance are also reasons why we see people for massage more often.
