ViVi Therapy Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Q. What Does ViVi mean?
A. ViVi refers to you, your life, your vitality, vim and vigor. ViVi also stands for Very Important and Vancouver Island where ViVi Therapy was born in 2006.  ViVi Therapy puts back in what life takes out and keeps you mobile, energized and peaceful.

2. Q. Why “Inner Peace, Delivered” what does it mean?
A. Inner Peace comes from knowing you are well cared for. Inner peace comes from feeling relaxed and not stressed about life and work situations. Regular Massage Therapy sessions deliver relief from muscle tension, pain and discomfort which are by products of overwork and mental stress. When you have a chance to get away even for 1 hour of massage therapy the physical relief you experience delivers a feeling of peace from the inside out, that is why we say Inner Peace, Delivered.

3. Q. Do I need a Doctors referral to receive Massage Therapy treatment?
A. No, our Registered Massage Therapists (RMT’S) are primary health care practitioners and can assess and treat you without a Medical referral. However, in some circumstances a referral from your physician may be necessary in order for you to be reimbursed by your extended health care plan or WCB, ICBC or DVA. Please check your insurance policy, your insurance agent or claim adjuster to be sure.

4. Q. How will I pay for ViVi Therapy Services and Products?
A. ViVi Therapy accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Bank payments through Pay Pal for online bookings and purchases.  We currently accept cheques and cash payments at our head office in Victoria. 

5. Q. Can I sample a table before I buy one.
A. Yes, You can rent one of our tables for a one month period for as little as $40.00 + tax.  When you rent or own your massage table you save money on our mobile Registered Massage Therapy Services see Book a Session

6. Q. How will my ViVi Therapist arrive at my home.
A. Your ViVi Therapist will arrive by a motor vehicle if they are bringing you a table. If you already have a table your therapist can arrive by any other means of transportation.   ViVi Therapy services get greener when you rent or own your own table. No one needs to drive a vehicle to the appointment provided the therapist is working in their local area of service. This means the only oil we use for your treatment is on your body, not in a car! Then the planet will feel better too.

7. Q.  What if I want to take your The Fine Art of Massage Class and I don't have a partner to take it with me? 

A.  We realise not everyone will have a partner so what we will do is enrol you in the class and pair you up with another person like yourself without a practice partner.  If we have an even number of participants we will supply an extra person for you to practice on.

8. Q. Does your clinic setting have easy parking access?
A. Yes, we have 2 dedicated parking spots.  On Balmoral Street at Camosun there is two hour parking 1/2 block from the office. For the surrounding residential blocks we can provide you with a parking pass.

9. Q. What type of space do I need at home to accommodate a ViVi Therapy massage table.
A. Our most compact table is 71 cm wide and 186 cm long that means 2 feet 4 inches by approx. 7 feet long only 6 feet with the face rest removed. The table folds in half and is about 5 inches thick once closed and stores its accessories inside. The removable cushions can be used or easily stored separately on our Versatile and Dreaming Bamboo massage tables.

Your ViVi Therapist will need some space on either end of the table for a stool and standing room as well as about an arms length on both sides of the table to perform a massage correctly. A quiet space away from it all will provide the best experience.

10. Q. Where should I put the table.
A. You can keep your table up all the time in your study, living room or spa area of your home. You can use the table as a desk or spare serving or game table while not in use for massage therapy. The table can easily fold up and be stored between appointments if permanent space is not available.

11. Q. Will I be safe having a Registered Massage Therapist offering Massage Therapy in my home.
A. Yes, all ViVi Therapy RMT’S have up to date Registration, Liability Insurance and CPR . As ViVi Therapy RMT’S are linked to ViVi Therapy you can trust that you will be treated with the best care and respect during your session. Our Therapists work a limited number of hours per week to insure the best of treatment and care possible.

12. Q. How can I have my product Delivered?
A.  Delivery can be by courier or we can arrange shipping on an individual basis.  For rentals and local orders we encourage you to pick up your products if possible.  Our convenient location is near downtown Victoria 1608 Camosun Street near Victoria High School and the Belfry Theatre.

13. Q. What if I need to return something?

14. Q. How often should I have a massage therapy treatment?
A. Everyone’s needs are different. The answer lies in what stage of life you are in, how busy and full of activity your life is, if you are still working and what state of health you are in. We see individuals on a regular monthly basis and increase the frequency of massage therapy if their circumstances need it. Rehabilitation from surgery, injury or illness increased work demands could be reasons why one would seek therapy more often. Pregnancy or training for athletic performance are also reasons why we see people for massage more often.  Many of our clients receive therapy weekly or bi weekly.
